Each winter, the NPHS concert band is divided into teams of 5. Between January and April, each team will earn points for certain music related achievements. The team with the most points, in April, will win a pizza party.




RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. SCALES: Points will be awarded to each person on your team according to the number of scales mastered (by memory) by March 31, 2007. (Percussion on Xylophone)



3pts = 13 Scales

2pts = 10 Scales

1pt = 8 Scales



2. LESSONS: Points will be awarded to team members who have no missed lessons. Free Lesson Coupons will not be given this quarter. You are responsible for making it to your lessons. If you miss a lesson and do not make it up within the week, you will receive an "F" for that lesson and your team will lose points.



5pts = For each person with perfect lesson attendance.

-2pts= For each lesson missed and not made up within the week.





3. SOLO/ENSEMBLE CONEST: Points will be awarded to each person on your team for solos and ensembles involved in. Participation in solo/ensemble contest needs to be decided by February 1. If you choose to take a solo or ensemble, then drop out by April 2, you will owe the registration fee and your team will lose 5 points.



1pt = For each solo/ensemble you are involved in.

5pts = For each Division "I" Rating you receive.

3pts = For each Division "II" Rating you receive.

1pt = For each Division "III" Rating you receive.

0pts = For each Division "IV"/"V" Ratings you receive.
